Shifting Fate (Descendants Series, #2)Shifting Fate by Melissa Wright
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well written and well edited. The plot has a fever pace in all the right places taking the reader on a fast paced adventure with well fleshed out characters whom are easy to connect with and feel for. The story is well conceived and played out. This is a fun entertaining and easy read, and one I easily recommend to most readers. It’s refreshing to read how a character develops through their experiences as opposed to being static. A free copy was provided by Prism Book Tours in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

Ghost Hold (The PSS Chronicles, #2) by Ripley Patton

Ghost Hold (The PSS Chronicles, #2)Ghost Hold by Ripley Patton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The second book picks up nicely from the first and continues the story with only a few minor issues. The pacing was a bit slow at first but picks up the pace and keeps the flow of the plot moving along at a good rate. We get to see the main characters develop a bit more with some added angst and drama. While not all readers might agree with choices made, it makes sense for that character. There is a section that feels like it was added as an afterthought and really could be removed without affecting this story so far, but then there may be something in the next book that couldn’t happen without this part. One of those wait and see things. Even with these issues it’s still a very enjoyable read and well worth the purchase. Great authors deserve readers support.

Surprisingly really well done. I know. Look at the cover. Really? A ghost hand? This sounds so silly but I’ll admit as I started to read it, I was hooked. This is a well thought out book. The characters feel very fleshed out with flaws and depth, and they develop nicely through the book. The plot is engaging with a very nice flow. The editing job was very good as well. I’d recommend this to about any reader, young and young at heart. I was sent a copy of the book by the author in exchange for an honest review. I liked the work so much, I purchased a copy of both books to help support the author. Great authors deserve support.
